Use A Dumpster To Handle Yard Waste

In the fall, you have a lot of work that you have to do in order to get your yard ready for winter, and the following spring. That can include doing things like getting rid of dead branches, leaves, grass clippings, and dead plants. all that yard waste can leave you with a large pile of things that you have to get rid of. There are several ways that you can dispose of all that yard waste.

Compost

When you choose to compost something, you are putting it into with other organic waste. As the organic material starts to decompose, it breaks down to a nice, rich soil. You can then use that soil to mix in with your garden to enrich the soil. All the nutrients from the compost will help whatever is planted in your garden to grow nice and big.

Dumpsters

You can rent a dumpster (from companies like FDS Disposal Inc) to throw all that yard waste into. When you rent a dumpster, you can tell the company that you want it for a yard cleanup. The company will be able to tell you what sizes they have, and what size would be the right size for you. You don't even have to bag up the yard waste since you are throwing it right into the dumpster. When it's all full or you are done, you can call the rental company and they will come pick it up for you. They will then dispose of it for you. They could throw it in a landfill or dispose of it in a municipal composting site.

Municipal Pickup

Your city may offer a semi-annual yard waste pick up. That means that they will come out and pick up things like small branches, grass clippings, and leaves. You may have to have special bags in order to get everything picked up. The city may also only pick up on a certain day. They generally have rules as to what type and size items they will pick up. That means you may have to come up with another way to deal with some of your yard waste.

Cleaning up your yard and getting it ready for the following seasons is something that every dedicated gardener does every fall. One big part of that chore is to make sure that you have somewhere to dispose of all that yard waste. There's no point in getting your yard all nice and clean if you have to leave the waste just sitting around.
